At our meeting last week we learned some interesting facts about three members during the “crafts talk” program arranged by magnificent speaker chair Wayne Lowery.

Dale Adams is a rocket scientist (chemical engineer).  He served as vice president at Aerojet doing defense and NASA work after his stint in the US Army as an expert in ordinance, explosive and ammunitions.   He achieved a rank equivalent to a 3-Star general.

Jeff England attended the University of Oregon majoring in journalism while working 2 or 3 part-time jobs and living a “rock-n-roll” lifestyle.  He learned the art of supervision as a manager for Crystal Dairy, which helped him be successful in his current job at Waste Connections.  Jeff has a passion for writing and is about done with his first novel.  It is short story is about running into a female “Big Foot” while camping and finding God through nature.

Grant Cody was raised in Woodland.  He has a BS degree in Construction Management from CSU Chico, and is currently a general manager for Belfor USA.  Grant showed a slide show showing restoration work by Belfor USA for residences and businesses that had water, fire and natural disaster damages.  One of his hobbies is brewing beer and he ended his presentation by having a drawing for one of his home-brewed beers.  Image
