"It's incredible!" said Past District Governor Barry Kalar, as he inducted four new member to the El Dorado Hills Rotary Club on Oct. 2. "You will be joining the oldest service organization in the world, with 1.2 million members providing service locally and internationally." 

Jake Flesher is an attorney sponsored by EDH Club President Coy Baugh. Jake and his wife Kassy are raising Grant (11) and Grace (9). He keeps active by coaching Little League Baseball (he was league president last year). Currently, Jake is running for EID Board. He is "excited to get started" on Rotary service.

Grant Cody manages the Elk Grove branch of Belfour Property Restoration. Together with his wife Jill, he is raising two daughters, Sarah (16) and Lauren (14). Grant is active at Rolling Hills Church, where he leads a small group and is involved in the High School ministry. Grant is an avid mountain biker, and also teaches cycling at the El Dorado Hills Sports Club. "I'm grateful to be a part of Rotary," says Grant.

Tina Ferguson is the owner of Face in a Book, a quaint book store at the Town Center. Tina and her husband Dave have two daughters, Abbey (19) and Emily (16). Tina grew up in El Dorado Hills and is looking forward to having fun with the group.

Carol Pomares is a Spanish teacher, recently retired from Oak Ridge High School, where she taught 6,000 students como se habla en Espanol for 32 years. She has two grown children, Mariah and Michael. Upon retiring, Carol missed her connection with teenagers and decided to join Rotary and jumped in to be an Interact Club Advisor. "Teenagers give me energy," she says. Interact plans the annual Mito Kids Walk each spring. Carol's grand children are afflicted with mitochondrial disease and she is active with Help Mito Kids, Inc. Carol has taken up cycling on the Folsom bike trails and loves it!
